Background & Clinical Experience
I am a clinical psychologist in private practice specializing in perinatal mental health, trauma, and attachments throughout the lifespan. My approach to therapy is integrative and trauma-focused, drawing on elements of psychodynamic, cognitive, behavioral, developmental, and interpersonal models of treatment.
I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, returning to the US for my doctoral training at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My predoctoral internship training took place at Ravenswood Community Mental Health Center, where I also completed a postdoctoral fellowship.
Throughout my career, I have consistently sought out advanced training as a way to deepen and develop my expertise. I am a perinatal trauma specialist certified in Perinatal Mental Health. Since I first trained in EMDR therapy in 2003, I have realized that a trauma-focused lens is invaluable to my clinical work. I am a certified EMDR therapist and consultant and offer training and consultation in EMDR therapy for other perinatal mental health specialists through The Touchstone Institute.
EMDR Training for Perinatal Mental Healthcare Providers
I have designed my trainings to foster a sense of connection and safety so that clinicians can engage in ways that enhances their learning and allows them to more deeply connect to the material. My ultimate aim is to facilitate an internally integrated and interconnected experience for those seeking EMDR Therapy Training.
