    Join perinatal mental health providers from across the country for this two-part Foundational EMDR Training. This training is EMDRIA-approved and utilizes the Institute for Creative Mindfulness's curriculum (42 CE's available).

The Program:

This EMDR Therapy Training, developed by Dr. Jamie Marich, founder and director of The Institute for Creative Mindfulness, is comprised of 6 full training days, divided into two, three-day blocks. The 10 hours of consultation required for completion of foundational training is offered as a separate bundle here. Once completed, you are considered Trained in EMDR (not Certified) and are encouraged to use EMDR therapy in your practice.

Part I

Part I of EMDR therapy training consists of 3 Days = 20 total hours of Lecture and Practicum. This in-person training covers the basics of trauma, the adaptive information processing model, trauma-informed stabilization, and the basic methodology and mechanisms of action used in EMDR Therapy.

Part II

Part II of EMDR therapy training consists of 3 Days = 20 total hours of Lecture and Practicum. This in-person training contains enhanced practicum content, covering best practices for using EMDR Therapy with special populations and in the complex scenarios of clinical practice; advanced content on ethics and neurobiology also covered, in addition to working with the art of case conceptualization.

Divided into two segments of approximately 5 hours following each part of the training, consultation is essential to practical skill building as an EMDR therapist. Completion of ten-hours of consultation with an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant in either an individual or group format is required before a Certificate of Training in EMDR Therapy can be awarded.
