Megan is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University. She believes firmly in her calling to psychotherapy and consider it to be an incredible privilege to walk beside others experiencing difficult times, to witness the incredible strength and resiliency in the human journey we call life. She believes with her whole being that every one of us possesses the ability to heal. Megan is here to support you on that journey as you lean into hard places.

Megan had the honor of working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) while obtaining her bachelor’s degree. She then spent 9 years working in an ER setting post graduate degree, assessing children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health crises. Megan has walked beside families as they navigate multiple losses and stressors associated with having a baby born prematurely or with medical complications. Megan has supported families experiencing the excruciating loss of their baby and/or older child.

Megan is so grateful that she was able to spend several years at home raising her 4 kiddos who are now big people and crazy amazing resilient humans. To this day, they continue to keep her on her toes. They have challenged and stretched her in so many ways, and for that she is grateful. They as a family survived hard things together! Megan has wished for do-overs in the parenting department a million times, but is content in knowing she is human and made mistakes and her people love her in her humanness. As a family, then and now, they do our best to support and love each other especially through hard times.

Understanding trauma and its impact on Megan and her family continues to be her “why” to pursue continued healing, growth, and self-awareness as a mom, partner, and clinician.
After her years at home with the kids, she had the privilege to again use her passion and strengths to work with and walk alongside families experiencing difficult circumstances in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. In this environment, Megan truly found her desire to understand trauma responses and how they impact us on the most visceral level in body, mind, and soul.

As a Clinical Traumatologist, Megan hopes to help you understand how trauma not only has impact at the time of the event, but also long after. It can creep into our present daily lives and does so often without our knowledge or invitation, and it gets in the way! Megan wishes to help you come to a place of comfort and contentment with the ebbs and flows of the unknown of life ahead.

In her own personal journey, Megan found healing in a way that brings confidence that she can feel consistent calmness with intentional practice with mindfulness, trauma therapy including EMDR, body focused work, and more. This brings peace and contentment in a way she never thought possible, even on the hard days. she is ok when she's not ok. Megan is learning to honor those days and listen to what she needs. That is healing and that is love. On days that bring more of a challenge, Megan know she is equipped to handle whatever comes her way. Mindfulness, attunement to the parts of self that may not want or like change or fear the unknown, and learning to listen to what our body and those parts of us are trying to communicate: This has been life changing for her. Megan has been able to build confidence in her ability to calm herself in moments of turbulence in ways she never thought were possible. Megan is way more comfortable being uncomfortable and finds that she cherishes being in the moment and awake to her life. Megan's desire for all humans is to have first-hand experience of a body in tune to self, alive to each moment, living in a relaxed body and mind.
