Alyssa Castaño-Mann, LCSW

Alyssa Castaño-Mann LCSW(she/her) is a therapist based in St. Louis Missouri and licensed in Missouri, Texas, and Illinois. Alyssa specializes in treating traumatic birth experiences as well as supporting birthworkers and other perinatal professionals through vicarious trauma and burnout with a special focus on BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and Perinatal populations with complex presentations. Alyssa utilizes EMDR, Brainspotting, and Ego-State/parts work to support her clients through their stuck points.

Alyssa offers group and individual EMDR consultation that focuses on developing a deeper understanding of EMDR and integrating it into a practitioner's existing therapeutic framework. Alyssa's framework is built upon multicultural and feminist orientations with a special focus on the way historical and intergenerational trauma continues to shape the way we (ourselves and our clients) interact with our environment. Alyssa is EMDRIA Consultant-In-Training (CIT) under the mentorship of Dr. Mara Tesler Stein.

Alyssa is also a trained full-spectrum doula, lactation counselor, and (untrained and figuring it out) mom.
