As perinatal providers, we are often faced with supporting our clients as they make complex decisions. How can we best support our perinatal clients in making decisions about whether to start or continue psychiatric medications? What sorts of therapeutic interventions can we offer while staying within our practice scope? How can we help our clients find reliable information, and how can we advocate for them with providers who may be out of step with the client's needs? 

This training will provide actionable strategies for working with clients on issues related to medication. The training will offer psychoeducation about the risks and benefits of medication in pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as ways to help clients identify core needs and beliefs about medication in this time of life.

This course is composed of recordings from a workshop held in 2025.
