Yuliana Avila

Yuli Avila is a bilingual, Latina, LMFT located in Bakersfield, CA. After having her first daughter in 2021 and having a traumatic birth and difficult postpartum period, Yuli dedicated her work to helping other moms. She is deeply aware of the gaps in support that mothers face within existing systems and is committed to advocating for meaningful change. She believes that care shouldn’t be reserved only for babies, but mothers deserve to be supported and nurtured as well. This is why she named her practice "Hold the Mother." She is a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in perinatal mental health, supporting women and parents through pregnancy and the postpartum period. She works with mothers and parents experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, birth trauma, relationship stress, and the transition into motherhood. Her approach is warm and supportive, focused on helping clients build confidence, find emotional stability, and grow through this stage of life.
