Abbie is a believer that you are the expert on your life. She joins you on your healing journey to help you identify your blind spots, enhance your perspective on situations, identify stuck points or beliefs that are holding you back, and help you find self-awareness and clarity so that you can move forward with peace. Your healing is her priority. She may wear the occasional cardigan and ask about your feelings, but she is not your typical “uh-huh” therapist. She is also direct, a straight-shooter, and will engage and be transparent with you. It’s important to her that you are able to have an open and honest dialogue. When you join forces in therapy you will get unstuck, you will feel empowered, and begin to make connections in your life that can bring clarity and relief. As a mother to little ones, she knows both the joys and mixed messages that comes with the role—”nurture your children and practice self-care!” She knows the pain of infertility, fertility treatments, and birth trauma, and what these experiences do to your mind, body, and soul. What she offers you is her human-ness, real-ness, and a compassionate safe space that you feel you belong in. Her journey in motherhood and extensive training in EMDR, trauma-focused care, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders has given her the unique opportunity to help hard-working, compassionate women like you find transformation. Every woman’s story is unique and deserves to be told. Your story deserves space, and you deserve to heal.
