Alexandra Murphy

Alex is EMDR-trained and specializes in counseling women, birthing parents, and young adults. Her practice focuses on trauma (including birth trauma, sexual assault, and complex trauma), infertility and loss, and LGBTQIA+, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and multicultural identities. Alex also works with non-birthing parents in supporting their birthing partner, managing the transition to parenthood and any mood or anxiety disorders that come up during this time period. Alex believes in working alongside clients in order to facilitate healing and growth. In therapy, Alex works to create a safe and brave space for clients and believes that therapy is a team effort. Alex is committed to making all clients feel comfortable and respected throughout this process.
