Amber Sperling

Amber Sperling is an EMDR-certified psychotherapist and one of Canada’s early certified perinatal mental health specialists (PMH-C). With over twenty years of experience in mental health, Amber brings deep clinical expertise and heartfelt understanding to her work supporting women and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and reproductive loss. Her approach blends evidence-based trauma therapy with a compassionate, mind-body lens—helping clients heal at the root rather than managing symptoms. She specializes in birth trauma processing, postpartum anxiety, and the identity shifts that emerge through motherhood. Amber’s work extends beyond the therapy room. As Co-Chair of the Regional Perinatal Mental Health Task Force and Founder of the Simcoe County Women’s Health Network, she is a recognized leader advocating for system-wide improvements in perinatal and women’s health care. Through secure virtual sessions, Amber and her team offer accessible support across Ontario, ensuring that no mother or parent has to navigate this season alone.
