Lindsey Brown McCormick

Dr. McCormick is a Licensed Professional Counselor serving the states of Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She is a Consultant in EMDR therapy, a Certified Perinatal Mental Health practicioner (PMH-C), and a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). Her clinical specialties include reproductive trauma, developmental trauma, attachment struggles, mental health concerns related to lactation, mother-infant dyad work, and EMDR with infants/toddlers. After her own traumatic birthing experience in 2021, she felt compelled to transition into the field of perinatal mental healthcare and help survivors struggling with their own traumatic births and concerns surroundling lactation. Dr. McCormick's lived experience as a late diagnosed neurodivergent person and an Appalachian provides a unique clinical experience for folks in rural communities struggling with perinatal mental health concerns. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and has a background in human sexuality. Dr. McCormick is Department Faculty at The Chicago School in the Counselor Education Department - Online campus. She also provides consultation for EMDR clinicians and clinical supervisors.
