Kathy Wasielewski

Kathy Wasielewski, LCSW started her social work career while in school for her bachelor's in social work at The University of Iowa in the mid 90's. Now with a Masters and Licensed in the State of California, Kathy continues her social work career in many facets including private practice. Her experience has spanned from foster care to medical care and just about everything in between. Kathy worked for a major medical facility in California as a Medical Social Worker for 18+ years before making the leap to private practice. Medical experience varied from end of life to perinatal and NICU. When not working, Kathy spends time with her family on their small hobby farm or attending music shows. Kathy is trained in different modalities of psychotherapy yet focusses her practice on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Brainspotting. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through Evergreen and has completed Phase Two training in Brainspotting. Mindfulness and authenticity are paramount in her practice as well as an understanding of child development, grief and the impact of intergenerational trauma. In being a Medically trained Social Worker, she will also explore with you our basic human needs and how to better have these met in your community.
