Angélica Figueroa

Angélica Figueroa, LCSW, PMH-C (ella/she/her) owns and operates her virtual only private practice Raíces y Heart Therapy in Los Angeles, California. She is a clinical social worker that works with adults of all ages. She specializes in the treatment of complex trauma, generational trauma, oppression trauma, cultural stress, perinatal mental health and perinatal mental health trauma, grief and loss, complex PTSD, and anxiety. Angélica primarily provides EMDR therapy and integrates EMDR Therapy into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and parts informed work. Angélica has extensive experience working in outpatient community mental health centers, integrated medical health centers, and has held management and director roles. Angélica is a Certified EMDR Therapist through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and is currently an EMDR Consultant-In-Training working with Jasmine Adams, LCSW, PMH-C. Amongst her many passions, Angélica’s goal is to bring EMDR Therapy to historically and systemically oppressed communities (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+) to specifically address and support the healing from complex trauma and to support other clinicians connected to and providing support to BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
