Ann Nost

Ann is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in Women’s Health. Ann been in the women’s mental health field for over 10 years, in both the hospital and private practice setting. In the hospital setting, Ann has provided support in the NICU, Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and High-Risk Units. Ann’s unique experiences inside and outside of the hospital provide her with a wealth of understanding of the complexities one may face during the conception, pregnancy, and parenting phases of life. In private practice, Ann’s work focuses largely on providing support to individuals who have experienced pregnancy and child loss, inclusive of infertility and termination for medical reasons. She also has specialized training in supporting families all across the perinatal period. Ann’s goal is to support individuals in healing while also helping them to identify their new role as parent or bereaved parent. Ann strongly believes in client centered care- you are the expert in your life and she is here to support you through this. Ann is EMDR trained, and draws from techniques from Mindfulness, Strengths-Based, Relational, and CBT Therapies. She is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, DC, and South Carolina.
