Ary Madera-Reber

Ary is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of California, trained in EMDR and specializing in maternal, infant, and early childhood mental health. She is a Mexican immigrant with lived experience of the complex issues impacting parents of color, including the intersection of racism, classism, and culture of origin expectations. Using ego state and IFS-informed interventions, Ary helps her clients achieve a stronger sense of self as they work towards healing old wounds stemming from pain and loss, often reactivated during the perinatal period and other adulthood milestones. Ary is also trained in somatic attachment and inner focusing modalities, along with Child Parent Psychotherapy and Reflective Parenting; these inform her approach to building a warm rapport and trusting relationship with her clients that encompasses their own relationships with their infants and children. She deeply understands the power of community-building as a healing avenue, and how this healing in turn supports improved attachment outcomes for future generations. Ary has been practicing as a therapist for 17 years. She resides in the city of Whitter, CA but only provides telehealth services at this time. She is a native Spanish speaker, offers free consultations for potential clients, and is happy to help.
