Ashley Bishop Lapierre is a Registered Psychologist in Alberta, Canada, and offers virtual therapy to residents of Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Nunavut in her private practice, Hopeful Horizons. Hopeful Horizons is a Psychology Practice that is centered around women's mental health concerns (including body image, disordered eating, trauma, self-esteem, and perinatal mental health)
Ashley's interest in Perinatal Mental Health and perinatal trauma started with her own traumatic birth and perinatal trauma in 2017. After her own healing journey, Ashley began training in perinatal mental health. It became her mission to help other people heal from perinatal trauma and perinatal mental health concerns. Today, she is passionate about offering supportive, caring, and effective therapy services. Because of her personal connection and professional experience, Ashley wants you to know healing is possible. You deserve to heal your past so you can focus on enjoying your present.
Ashley is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) and has completed advanced training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, birth trauma, perinatal loss, and EMDR for birth and perinatal trauma.
note: Ashley's specialty is working and understanding women's mental health concerns, but she also welcomes men and non-binary people experiencing perinatal mental health and trauma concerns into her practice.
