Bethany Smith

Bethany has 10 years experience providing psychotherapy and has worked both in community settings and in private practice. She strives to create a supportive, affirming environment for people of all identities and experiences. The main focus of Bethany's practice is perinatal trauma and care for helping professionals. Bethany provides consultation that is relational, strength-based and centred around integrating learning. Bethany's goal is for you to develop greater trust in your clinical reasoning and decision making. Bethany is driven by curiosity and kindness, endlessly fascinated by our innate capacity for healing and the deep compassion witnessed in clients everyday. As they continue to grow as a human and as a therapist, Bethany participates in their own therapy, professional development, as well as clinical consultation. In addition to Bethany's private practice, they provide clinical supervision at Sexual Assault Centre Kingston. Bethany lives in Katarokwi/Kingston with her partner and young children. Bethany's greatest joys are time in nature with family and friends, reading, podcasts, kitchen dance parties and attempting to learn new musical instruments.
