Emily Hogan

Emily is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist seeing clients virtually in Massachusetts. Emily sees individuals facing a variety of challenges, including acute stressors and ongoing issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma and complex trauma, family dynamics, sexuality, gender identity, ADHD and autism, and other marginalized identities. Her niches are in chronic illness and disability, perinatal mental health and birth trauma, neurodivergence, and medical trauma. She has lived experience and shared identity in these communities and is honored to work within them. As a survivor of a traumatic birth and undiagnosed postpartum mood disorders, she feels passionate about supporting birthing individuals and their partners in their wellbeing at all points along the parenthood journey, from fertility and adoption, loss and grief, peripartum mood challenges, and new parenthood identity and transitions. Emily has obtained certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, an extensive training process for treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Emily is also fully trained in and pursuing certification in EMDR through a perinatal-focused trainer with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness, an approved EMDRIA training program. Emily maintains a therapeutic commitment to anti-racism, intersectionality and social justice, Health at Every Size, intergenerational healing, and centering the voices of those who are marginalized. Free-time favorites include mindful awareness and awe of the beauty of nature and life, snuggling and enjoying the family chaos with her partner and kiddos, and finding gratitude in the many unscheduled adventures along the way.
