Emily Remba

Emily is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and certified by Postpartum Support International as a perinatal mental health specialist (PMH-C). She is warm, attentive, relatable, supportive, and genuine. Emily’s goal as a therapist is to foster an environment where her clients feel safe and supported, and to collaboratively find ways to improve her client’s lives by building on their strengths. Emily founded Reproductive Mental Health and Wellness (www.ReproductiveTherapy.com) because of her passion for working with individuals throughout their reproductive journey–whether they are struggling to become parents, parents who are struggling with this new role, and anywhere in between. Emily brings both lived and academic experience to her work, which consists of infertility (primary and secondary), pregnancy loss/miscarriage, complicated pregnancy, premature birth, NICU hospitalization, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and parenting. With certification in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), experience with CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), certification in TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy), and training in other modalities, Emily tailors her therapeutic interventions based on her client’s individual needs. Emily has completed specialized training courses in fertility counseling, perinatal mental health, and Positive Discipline parenting strategies. She holds a B.A. in psychology from Barnard College of Columbia University and an MSW from San Diego State University.
