Ingrid Wigemyr Tcheshmedjiev

Ingrid is an EMDR Europe accredited therapist. She is located in Norway, but offers online therapy to English or Norwegian speaking clients independent of their location. Her educational background consists of a candidata magisterii-degree with an emphasis on social sciences, as well as having the degree Master of science in EMDR Therapy from the University of Worcester, UK. Alongside her private practice she maintains her work at a public psychiatric hospital, a position she has held for the past 18 years. In this job she is treating pregnant clients with substance use disorders with EMDR therapy. Working with this special population has given her experiences and skills that are useful in the treatment of complex issues or comorbidity. Ingrid is an advocate for the innate possibilities of healing and growth in all people, as she has been witness to in clients` EMDR processes. Working with perinatal issues, addiction, and trauma in general has fueled her passion to continue to evolve as a professional. Privately, Ingrid is a cat lover that appreciates reading, music and a quiet lifestyle in the countryside. She is often described as calm, down-to-earth, empathetic and with a strong sense of humour.
