Julie Homrich

Julie is a Licensed Therapist and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor practicing in the state of Georgia. She has over 15 years of experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, the residual effects of trauma and perinatal mental health needs from a trauma-informed, attachment-based framework. She is trained in EMDR for trauma recovery across the lifespan, from pre-conception to adulthood. Julie is a certified AutPlay provider and enjoys helping neurodivergent individuals live an authentic life that supports their specific nervous system needs. She is passionate about de-stigmatizing neurodivergence and works from a neurodivergent affirming framework. She is a certified Safe and Sound Protocol provider, and helps clients understand their mental and physical health as an embodied experience. Julie holds a black belt in martial arts and is a certified self defense instructor for women. In this role, she provides trauma-informed self defense classes for women who may be triggered by traditional self-defense environments. For the past 4 years, Julie has worked with birthing individuals and their support system as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C). As a biological parent and foster parent, she enjoys supporting families as they navigate transitions and create an environment that works well for the diverse needs within a family unit. Julie's therapeutic approach is both validating and empowering and she understands the incredible courage it takes to reach out for support.
