Karen Del Fierro Monroy

Karen Del Fierro Monroy, LCSW, PMH-C, is a bilingual perinatal therapist based in San Diego, CA, offering specialized trauma-focused therapy for individuals navigating birth trauma, NICU experiences, pregnancy and infant loss, IVF and fertility struggles, and perinatal mood disorders. Before opening her private practice, Karen spent over a decade in clinical settings, including the NICU and Pediatric Oncology at a leading children's hospital, work that shaped her deep attunement to the particular grief and complexity that can accompany the perinatal period. Karen's primary modality is EMDR, which she offers in traditional weekly sessions, extended intensive formats, and ketamine-assisted EMDR for experiences that have been difficult to reach through other means. She also draws on somatic awareness, parts work, and IADC for grief. She sees individuals in person in San Diego and via telehealth throughout California and Arizona.
