Katina Saxton

Katina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing and certified in Perinatal Mental Health with training in EMDR. Katina utilizes over a decade of clinical experience to inform psychotherapy practice with individuals and couples, especially support regarding family life transitions and parental identity. Katina focuses on the value of life stories, working to identify and develop individual and relational strengths. She works from a humanistic, relational, and systemic perspective. Individuals cannot be viewed apart from their relationships and the world around them; the eventual goal is to create change outside of the therapy office. She has developed groups and trainings related to parenting young children, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and healthy relationships. She is also passionate in supporting parents in coping with infertility, perinatal loss, traumatic birth experiences, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.
