Laura Meyer

Dr. Laura Meyer, LMHC, LMFT, PMH-C is a board certified mental health counselor and marriage and family therapist located in Plantation, Florida. In her private practice, Expeditions in Motherhood, Inc., she assists clients in navigating through motherhood; e.g., fertility challenges, loss, anxiety in pregnancy, postpartum depression, perinatal stress, and juggling other realities of motherhood. Presently, Dr. Meyer sees clients locally in her office in South Florida and also via telehealth throughout Florida. Dr. Meyer is certified in EMDR and Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and is an EMDRIA Consultant-in-Training (CIT). She formerly served on the board of Postpartum Support International for the Florida State Chapter. Dr. Meyer continually draws from her dissertation research, A Grounded Theory of Dynamic Holism: An Exploration of Self-Interest and Self-Sacrifice in Motherhood, to help individuals make sense of the nuances and complexities of motherhood in their life.
