Libby McHugh

Working in the field of perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, addiction and eating disorders has taught Libby that recovery is possible and it's different for everyone. Her "happy place" as a therapist is when she has the opportunity to utilize EMDR while working alongside motivated, adult clients who are looking to reduce & relieve distress in their lives. She specializes in perinatal mental health, substance abuse, as well as eating disorders. Libby is no stranger to mood & anxiety disorders; often coming from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and DBT informed framework. Whew! That feels like a lot...humor, although underrated is often woven into the process. Libby has worked with a multitude of populations in the emergency room, residential and outpatient settings. Libby also has post-Master's training in EMDR (Institute for Creative Mindfulness), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy), addictions and eating disorders, as well as continue to receive clinical training in postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, as she believes learning does not end.
