Lorain Moorehead, LCSW, PMH-C

Lorain Moorehead is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional (PMH-C) with more than 17 years of experience supporting individuals and families through the challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. She is also an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDRIA-Approved Consultant, and is pleased to be able to offer basic training consultation hours with the Touchstone Institute. specializing in trauma-informed care that addresses both present struggles and unresolved experiences that often resurface during the perinatal period. Lorain works extensively with professionals who are accustomed to success in their careers but feel the weight of perfectionism, identity shifts, and overwhelming pressure when navigating pregnancy and parenthood. In addition to her clinical practice, Lorain provides supervision and consultation to therapists and serves as a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University’s School of Social Work. Through therapy, teaching, and mentorship, she is dedicated to normalizing the complexities of parenthood while equipping clients with tools for connection, self-compassion, and sustainable well-being.
