Macy Schoenthaler

Macy Schoenthaler is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is available virtually to all California residents. Macy has worked in the field of women's health for the last 20 years and specializes in reproductive medicine, infertility, and perinatal mental health. Macy supports and guides clients through their journey of self-exploration, understanding, awareness, and healing. She utilizes EMDR, a type of trauma-focused therapy that targets stress, including, stress related to reproductive health issues, pregnancy, family building, or the transition into parenthood. Her approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques. Macy also specializes in third-party family building arrangements, such as, gamete donation, embryo donation, and surrogacy. She also enjoys working with a diverse client population, including single parents by choice and LGBTQ+ family building.
