Dr. Sara Pollard is a mom of two young children and a Board Certified Couple and Family Psychologist in Dallas, Texas. She is passionate about helping moms and completed advanced training by Postpartum Support International. She also specializes in trauma and parent-child relationships. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Dr. Pollard is in the process of foundational EMDR training with ICM consultants.
Dr. Pollard teaches a doctoral-level psychology course on family therapy at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and provides psychotherapy, parent consultation, and assessment for ages three and up via her private practice.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Austin College in Sherman, TX, and then earned her doctoral degree from the APA-accredited program in counseling psychology at the University of North Texas, with an emphasis in child and family psychology. She completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in clinical child psychology at Momentous Institute in Dallas, and her post-doctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Pollard has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples and families, with a variety of presenting concerns. She has special interests in immigration and cultural diversity issues and speaks Spanish and French.
