Shira Lichtenstein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and completed training in perinatal mental health. She is also trained in EMDR and currently working towards certification. In her free time, she enjoys walking, movies, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
Shira graduated college with a B.A. while completing a shaped major in psychology and education. She then earned a Masters in psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a concentration in children and adolescents. She completed several advanced training courses in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In 2016, Shira participated in The Contextual Behavior Therapy Fellowship at The University of Chicago. Later that year, Shira attended the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration where she earned her second Masters Degree, this time in social work.
Shira understands the complexity of emotions and struggles that can come up during times of great change. Anchored Therapy is a safe and empowering space for those who are facing difficult life transitions, emotional upheavals, and unexpected loss. As a trained mental health professional, she helps people navigate through life's transitions and find their true internal resources.
