Stacey Bramley Carleton is a Psychotherapist, EMDR Trained Therapist, Perinatal & Infant Mental Health Specialist, and Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist in Denver, CO. She received her Master's in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. Transpersonal Counseling Psychology focuses on a holistic view of health and wellness, techniques of mindfulness and awareness, and honors the unique path and journey of each individual.
Stacey is a Certified Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist (TIYT) through Sundara Yoga Therapy. Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy uses movement, breath, neurophysiology, and Eastern teachings to support the re-wiring of neural pathways in the brain to help resolve traumatic memories and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our "rest and digest" system. She's completed EMDR Training Level 1 through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a therapy used to resolve traumatic memories by changing the way a memory is stored in the brain. We are whole and adaptive beings, and EMDR helps support the natural healing process.
Stacey is trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Advanced Perinatal Mental Health, and Advanced Practice of EMDR Therapy for Perinatal & Infant Mental Health. She strives to be an advocate to increase awareness of perinatal mental health, and perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms. With this comes the importance of seeking professional and social support. She's dedicated to supporting women, men, and families navigate and heal from symptoms and experiences resulting from preconception, pregnancy, through the first couple years after giving birth and beyond. Perinatal is defined as preconception through 3 years postpartum.
As a therapist, trained in trauma-informed approaches and attachment re-patterning experiences, Stacey provides a nurturing and safe framework to support the development of the therapeutic relationship. With a secure foundation, the exploration and practice of practical skills occurs to help individuals regulate in session and outside of session. The therapeutic process unfolds, shifts, and grows over time. The therapeutic relationship serves as an opportunity for a corrective experience.
