Jenifer LaNore is a leader in maternal mental health, integrating clinical expertise, advocacy, and personal passion to support women through pregnancy and postpartum. As the founder of Gracefully Balanced Perinatal Counseling, she provides specialized psychotherapy, empowering women and their families to navigate the challenges of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum with resilience. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Full Spectrum Doula specializing in bereavement, Jenifer offers compassionate, evidence-based care for postpartum depression, anxiety, pregnancy loss, fetal anomalies, and medical terminations. She is a Perinatal Mental Health Certified Provider through Postpartum Support International and serves on its Maryland Board of Directors. She also collaborates with the Society for Women’s Health Research to bridge gaps in maternal mental health research, clinical practice, and policy. Jenifer is trained in foundational EMDR for Perinatal & Infant Mental Health through the Touchstone Institute and is pursuing certification. Additionally, she is training as a Functional Hormone Specialist to provide comprehensive care across women’s lifespans. A sought-after speaker, Jenifer has been recognized by organizations such as MomCares and The Jewish Women’s Giving Foundation for her impactful work in maternal mental health. She actively advocates for equitable healthcare and maternal mortality awareness. Jenifer holds a Bachelor of Arts from Oakland University and a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University.
